I just returned from a 25 day pilgrimage in Northeast India. Below are a few photos. I attended the pilgrimage with 29 other meditators. An amazing experience. Will post more later.
I was taking a morning selfie of the sun rays coming out of my skylight and afterwards I saw the added effects of a rainbow surrounding me. Too cool not to share! (Android Nexus 4). It’s amazing what a lens can capture that we can not see with the naked eye.
Grand Master Tanaka – Seiichi Tanaka is the first Japan-trained teacher of taiko in the United States and largely regarded as the father of the art form in North America. He is the founder of San Francisco Taiko Dojo and a recipient of a 2001 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Grand Master Tanaka was presented by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, Emperor Akihito, the Order of the Rising Sun -5th Order: Gold and Silver Rays (established in 1875). The Order is for “achievements in: international relations, promotion of Japanese culture, field advancements, and development of welfare or preservation of the environment.”
